Report Lecturers who sexually harass you – GIJ students told

The Management of Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has called on students of the Institute to feel free and report lecturers or any staff who tries to sexually harass them.

The call follows recent allegations made by some student that lecturers fail them when they deny them sex.

The report, follows the BBC African eye documentary which revealed how students in the University of Lagos and University of Ghana are harassed sexually by their lecturers.

In a notice posted on campus, management indicated that the institute has norms and regulations against sexual harassment by staff which all must adhere to.

As such, the leadership of the institution called on all students who have been abused to report through this email safespaceforstudents@gij.edu.gh for in-depth investigations.
